The quality of a building’s thermal insulation determines the monthly operating costs
(on average, 77% of the monthly housing expenses are energy-driven). In the near future, (once the energy certification of buildings is mandatory) the quality of insulation will also define the monthly rental amount as well as the building’s market value.
This means:
- Significant energy loss
- Value decrease of the building
- Lower living comfort due to a less constant room climate
- Disregard of environmental consequences
